teaching mexican kids about australia

we visited alex´ school in monterrey, mexico, and taught 4 classes (totalling 140 kids) about australia. they were from grades 7, 8 and 9. got them to taste vegemite and see if they liked it, also taught a bit about our long and sometimes shameful history, taught about the tall poppy syndrome and mateship.

after a very long 4 flights (melbourne - sydney - los angeles - guadalajara - monterrey) we have arrived here safely! ... and all our luggage too. :)

had fun exploring LA for a few hours.. including a bus and metro to hollywood where we bought some groceries and had photos with wax models at madame tussauds ... even barack obama.

very tired and in need of a rest, but excited to be in mexico to visit monica and luis.

anna (jane's sister) and jane today -- both pregnant, just 5 months apart.

our baby is expected on 27/4/2010.

so, that makes jane currently 17 weeks - 13cm and 140gm. (more info here).

tired but very happy that we sold the house in vermont for a good price!
